Our regular client, a construction company, asked us to provide barrier-free access to one of the bomb shelters in Zhytomyr. The entrance to the shelter is a tight and angled corridor with stairs — the room has a complex span and a fairly low ceiling. In such cramped space conditions, it was necessary to develop a lift that would enable a person in a wheelchair to go down to the bomb shelter without any assistance.
Our engineers were able to develop equipment that solved the problem. We made an inclined wheelchair elevator with a complex path of movement and a folding platform that saves space when not in use. The platform has a pair of folding ramps for easy wheelchair access, as well as a stopper that protects against rolling while moving. To ensure the autonomy of the equipment and independence from the network, the lift is equipped with rechargeable batteries.
The design of the lift is budget-friendly without any frills: reliable steel and high-quality powder coating are the perfect combination for equipment that must work flawlessly in a bomb shelter.
