Gravity Flow Shelving: Structure
To ensure self-movement of boxes from the loading zone to the order picking area, roller tracks are installed on the shelves. They are set in motion by the gravity of the load itself, as the shelves are fixed at a slight angle - about 5 degrees. Gravity shelving for containers is always equipped with braking mechanisms to prevent accidental falling of goods. Two C-shaped steel racking profiles welded together are used as beams. The profiles themselves are attached to the rack uprights using a 5-tooth bracket - this structure provides the storage system with high strength and reliability.
Before purchasing, it's worth noting that roller shelving for plastic containers is only suitable for similar types of goods. This is because storage works on the "First In First Out" (FIFO) principle.
