Pallet Racking System for Long Loads

FORSTOR has completed another project for a long-term client — one of the leading Ukrainian manufacturers of furniture and flooring materials. As part of the order, it was necessary to design and install a high-bay pallet racking system for oversized products — wooden boards with a length exceeding 4 meters.

The spacious rack for large-size products

To accomplish this task, FORSTOR engineers designed a pallet racking system based on the Profi series, adapted for the storage of large-format long wooden boards. The structure is equipped with extended beams (4600 mm), which is an effective solution for storing heavy oversized products on non-standard pallets. The height of the racking system is 9000 mm. The system provides 40 pallet positions for storing long products.

The racking consists of two double-sided upright sections designed for storing loads with dimensions of up to 4300 x 1350 mm. Nine storage levels and the use of the floor as an additional level make it possible to store large volumes of panel products without compromising accessibility. The calculated load capacity of each level is up to 2280 kg, and the racking structure is designed to remain strong and stable under both partial and maximum load conditions.

The pallet racking system for wooden boards is serviced using warehouse material handling equipment. Forklifts have direct access to each level with products, which significantly accelerates warehouse operations, optimizes internal logistics, and reduces the risk of material damage during handling.
