Cable and reel storage racks

Forstor company acted as a subcontractor in the project of developing and manufacturing a comprehensive storage system for an energy company facility in the Lviv region. The project involved creating an efficient system for storing cable products, reels, and spare parts. We developed a solution using three types of racks that takes into account the storage requirements for different types of materials and optimally utilizes the warehouse space.

Storage system components:

• Shelving racks — area of 52 m², four levels of metal shelves with a load capacity of 400 kg per level, placed along the perimeter of the room
• Cable reel sections — height 2200 mm, designed for reels with diameters of 500—1000 mm, located in the central part of the room
• Double-sided cantilever system — staggered arrangement of 450 mm long cantilevers, load capacity per cantilever — 250 kg

The structural elements are made of two types of steel — galvanized for uprights and painted for beams, providing an optimal balance between corrosion protection and economic efficiency. The equipment layout considers cargo turnover specifics: shelving racks are placed along the room perimeter for convenient access to piece goods, while specialized structures for cable products are located in the central part of the warehouse.
